Music & Words

Indie music blog. Their music, our words, in perfect harmony.

Raw talent: Laura Masters

Do you remember when Birdy was younger than she is now (and I believe she’s still under 20), recording herself playing her piano and singing her song? I discovered her when she was fairly unknown. Now I’m not saying this has anything to do with her success, but you know, I knew it first. ☺

Laura reminds me of Birdy from the point of view that she, too, has that raw and timid talent that can only seem to believe in itself when Laura is playing music. Her joy and freedom of worries grabs you right at the bottom of your heart and keeps tugging until you’ve no chance but to fall in love with her.

My favourite cover from Laura though is a piano medley where her instrumental talent completely blew my mind.

Make sure you follow her YouTube channel and watch out for more. And remember, I knew it first 😉

About Miss Andi

Learning to be unapologetically me but healthier. Shamelessly personifying my dog, Mia, who is my soulmate, though doesn't let me read as much as I used to. One day I'll finish a novel that will not save the world - but might make it smile.
