This blog has had some reincarnations until it happily settled on the current format. But the main attributes, music + words, were there from the beginning. Because that’s who I am.
My soul breathes music and exhales words. Lots of them. Fiction, non-fiction, facts or opinions, mine or yours.
It was a long road to get to here, but all the ups and downs, breaks and bends were educational. I’m very proud of what we have now and I hope you’ll find some great artists to connect with.
My fellow contributors asked me some tough questions.
You’ve been blogging for a while now. Why?
I’m a compulsive sharer as proven by having not one but 4 blogs including this lol:
What’s the first really great memory you have associated with music?
I didn’t grow up with lots of music around me but as a child I loved listening to the radio and reading a good book. It felt like a guilty double pleasure and my favourite memories are of me, sitting on the window still or curling up in the armchair with a book while blasting the radio.
You’re going on a road trip and can only have 5 songs on your playlist. Which 5 songs do you choose?
That’s like the cruelest question ever! How does one choose 5 when there are so many options???
Well. It would have to be different genres. Depeche Mode, Enjoy The Silence, live. That song has a beautiful energy with the crowd. A headbanger, maybe Metallica or Godsmack for when the other drivers are being stupid. A happy song to sing along: Superheroes from The Script. I would also have to take Ireland with me, and recently it’s with Walking On Cars. And then of course, a gorgeous voice, Sia, Elastic Heart. Or Titanium. I’d have to toss a coin!

I don’t know what happened to the comment I put up a moment ago Andrea but just to say I’m glad I found About Andrea! Cruel question re being restricted to 5 on road trip .. I hit the follow button, will that ensure I receive yr A-Z’s from now on? I hope so .. how lovely is music. I’m looking forward to seeing how you explore this theme. My younger son is a musician, my elder is an animator and a mean drummer …
